Megan Favignano [Timothy Tai/Tribune]
I previously worked for the Columbia Tribune, covering a variety of beats during my two stints there — including city government, business, k-12 education and higher education.
The higher education beat gave me the opportunity to cover the University of Missouri at a pivotal time for the institution. I reported on race issues on campus and graduate student benefits at the university — which were among a few subjects that made national headlines.
I also have experience working for the St. Joseph News Press/FOX 26/NBC21 newsroom covering the public safety beat. Each story I covered there had a presence online, in print and on television.
My time studying at Webster University gave me a foundation for creating ethical and quality content as a storyteller. My professional newsroom experiences gave me the ability to tell stories across platforms. And my time at Influence & Co has taught me how to communicate in a strategic and engaging way.
